Terms of Service

Version v1.0 · Last updated 24 August 2026

Sections 1-5 specifically govern the scope of Lifetime Access purchases. By ticking the agreement box at checkout you confirm you have read and accepted this document in full.

1. Lifetime Access - Definition and Scope

Definition of Lifetime. By purchasing "Lifetime Access" or a "Lifetime Deal" to thescalabledev.com (the "Service"), you are acquiring a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the current features and materials of the Service for as long as the Service is commercially maintained, operated, and made publicly available by the owner. "Lifetime Access" refers strictly to the operational lifespan of the software product itself, and does not refer to the lifetime of the buyer, the individual developer, or any other natural person.

2. Right to Discontinue or Sunset

The Service is provided by an individual, independent developer. The owner reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to modify, update, pause, sunset, or permanently discontinue the Service at any time for any reason (including, but not limited to, commercial unviability, technical obsolescence, or personal health/retirement).

3. Notice of End-of-Life (EOL)

In the event that the Service is to be permanently shut down, the owner will make a reasonable, good-faith effort to provide active Lifetime Access users with at least thirty (30) days of advance notice via email. During this notice period, users may be given an opportunity to export their text-based notes or progress data. Following the conclusion of the notice period, all hosting obligations and access rights are fully and permanently discharged.

4. Absolute Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you explicitly agree that the owner's total, cumulative financial liability to you for any and all claims, damages, losses, or disruptions arising from your use of the Service - or the permanent termination of the Service - shall be strictly limited to the exact amount you paid to purchase Lifetime Access. The owner shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost career opportunities, exam failures, or data loss.

5. Refunds, Subscriptions, and Chargebacks

One-time purchases (Lifetime Access) are final unless specified otherwise by an active promotional refund window. Initiation of fraudulent chargebacks or payment disputes will result in the immediate and permanent termination of your account and access rights.

Subscription plans (Monthly €29/month and Annual €79/year) renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account page or by contacting us; cancellation stops future renewals, and your access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Partially used subscription periods are non-refundable unless required by law.

6. Accounts

Access to members-only content requires an account created through Google or GitHub sign-in. You are responsible for safeguarding access to those accounts. Accounts are personal and may not be shared between individuals; shared accounts may be suspended.

7. Acceptable Use

You may use the Service for your own personal learning. You may not redistribute, resell, scrape, or systematically extract lesson content, company guides, or other materials; attempt to circumvent access controls; or use the Service in any way that impairs its operation for other users.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, visualizations, lesson materials, code examples, branding, and design of the Service remain the exclusive property of the owner. Your purchase grants the license described in these Terms - it does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No guarantee is made that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that interview outcomes will improve as a result of using it.

10. Payments, VAT, and Merchant of Record

Payments are processed on our behalf by Stripe, Inc. through Stripe Managed Payments, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction. Prices shown include applicable VAT/sales tax where required by law; Stripe handles tax collection and remittance. Billing questions, receipts, and refund administration are managed through Stripe's systems.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes affecting Lifetime Access holders (other than sections 1-5 above, which govern the scope of your purchase) will be communicated by email or via a notice within the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ireland, except where consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you mandatory rights elsewhere.
